Well, not quite all of us – but definite a few!
Sarah Jones, an Inclusive Practice Coach over at Leicester City Football Club has been working closely with us for a while to improve fitness and engagement with healthy activities for our service user – and she’s going to be running a Half Marathon on the 6th October to raise money for us. But she’s not the only one who’s going to be running!
Our very own Nicky Brading will also be putting foot to pavement (so to speak) to help, and I thought it would be good to let you know a little about her in her own words!

A word about myself, Nicky Brading: I come from a background of youth work and teaching in Leicester’s inner city.
In the 80s and 90s, I began Yoga teaching and delivering therapies, such as Aromatherapy. After doing the rounds of Leicester’s health clubs, I’ve moved on to Leicester City of Sanctuary. Wise move: I find a whole lot of love and gratitude here, often served up as great big hugs!
Most Wednesdays, you’ll find me massaging heads and shoulders, hands and feet, right in the middle of the drop in.
Newcomers can see exactly what I do and put themselves on the list. Everyone’s a winner: I get immense job satisfaction and they get relief from their aches, pains and worries.
Leicester City of Sanctuary are currently forging ahead with an amazing range of activities. Numbers are growing and I see my run as an opportunity to raise funds as well as publicizing our work. When I run on Sunday 6 October, I’ll need motivation to get me round , especially at mile 9 or 10! Thinking of our service users and turning their sadness to smiles will help and so can you! Every coin helps!
See you there! Start time: 8.45 am, venue Victoria Park, Leicester.

Any money donated will of course go to good use over here at LCoS, providing support and activities as well as a drop in for Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Leicester! The best way to donate is through Sarah’s Givey Page, which you can get to…
… thank you very much from all of us over here!
