Learning about Leicester

Aasiya, from the walking and cycling charity SUSTRANS, led us superbly on a walk, in glorious sunshine, through Abbey Park, along the National Cycle Network, past the National Space Centre to Abbey Pumping Station. Spotting a woodpecker in a tree along the way was a special treat!
We enjoyed learning about Leicester’s industrial and transport history in and around the Pumping station before heading back to the city centre. Everyone had a great time and we hope to organise many more walks.
