Free Face to Face English Classes (ESOL) for Refugees and Asylum Seekers:

If you want to improve your English and you are a refugee or are seeking asylum, you are welcome to come to one of our English classes. You do not need to register/enrol before you come – just come along on the day.

Here is the information about class days and times. You can just come along and join a class and you do not need to register before the class:

8th January - 16th February

 

Classes will be taking place at the following address: University of Leicester, LE1 7RH

Students who attend for the 80% of the weeks of the course will receive an end of course certificate
and the option to do an assessment test at the end of term.

 


Free Online English Classes (ESOL) for Refugees and Asylum Seekers:

  • You can download the Zoom app on your phone/tablet/computer through this link: https://zoom.us/freesignup/ . You can then use the Meeting ID and Password to join a session. This is the best way to use Zoom
  • If you don’t have the app, you can just join a class through a Direct Web Link (this will take you through the Zoom website)

OET Classes - these are for qualified refugee medics who have their IELTS 6.0 and need to receive  IELTS 7.0 as a part of GMC registration.

Sanctuary Library - we have books that you can borrow during our lessons.

Full-time academic English classes - these are for students at intermediate level or above who want to study English at university. Find out more here .
