We're looking forward to Refugee Week

Leicester City of Sanctuary plan an open day at our drop in centre and a lively public event to raise awareness about the asylum process on 20th June. We also have an exhibition all week at the Central Library. Contact us to book your place.

Display in the Public Lending Library, Bishop Street, Leicester, LE1 6AA. Monday 17th to Saturday 23rd June during opening hours. (Monday to Thursday 9.30 to 7, Friday 9.30 to 5 and Saturday 9 to 4.) We will exhibit the work of Leicester City of Sanctuary with asylum seekers and bust all the myths around asylum seekers and refugees in this small exhibition including photos, case studies and facts and figures.

Public Meeting Thursday 20th June 5.15 to 6.45pm at The Secular Hall, Humberstone Gate (opposite Sainsbury’s). We invite you to join us for an interesting and interactive event to find out more about the experience of asylum seekers and the work of Leicester City of Sanctuary. Light refreshments will be available.

Drop-in Centre Open Afternoon Thursday 20th June 1 to 4 pm at St Martin’s House, 7 Peacock Lane, Leicester LE1 5PZ near the Cathedral. Come along to our drop-in centre, have lunch with asylum seekers, meet our volunteers and find out more directly about the work we do and what it means to be an asylum seeker.
