Our May Fair was held on Saturday May 5th, 2012 at the Friends’ Meeting House on Queens Road. Red Leicester choir, the Zimbabwean Association choir and a troupe of Indian dancers all gave performances in the afternoon. It was a cold windy day and all the stalls had to be inside, but nonetheless we raised £1291-20p. which we shared with Refugee Action. Thanks to the Quakers for providing the venue, to Sue Skyrme and Santok Odedra for organising the event, to the performers, the volunteers who came to help – and to all the people who braved the weather and came and spent money!
