Outings and social activities

We organise occasional outings for asylum seekers, particularly for families with children. We are well aware that many asylum-seeking children go back to school after the summer break and are expected to talk or write about ‘What I did in the holidays’. For children of families surviving in a strange country on £35 per head per week the answer is likely to be ‘Nothing!’

Recent outings have been to the Robin Hood Festival at the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre, Skegness and Twinlakes Theme Park near Melton Mowbray.
